Samantha von Sayn

Samantha is originally from Germany, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Corporate Management. During her studies, she was awarded a Scholarship for her engagement in international relations, which brought her to UBC's Okanagan campus for a semester. After graduating, Canada’s beautiful nature and welcoming people drew her back here. This time, she stayed for good.

Samantha completed her law degree at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, where she received the Dean’s course prize for Tort law. Upon completing her Juris Doctor in 2017, Samantha articled at a mid-size Kelowna law firm, where she gained vital experience in a number of legal areas. She also had the chance to junior on a week-long successful BC Supreme Court trial.

Samantha practices mainly in the areas of Business Law and Wills and Estates. She advises her business clients on a wide variety of legal matters, such as buying or selling a business, incorporations, shareholder agreement, and day to day corporate law issues. In Estate matters, she assists with the creation and administration of trusts, wills, representation agreements, and powers of attorney. She is fluent in German and advises her clients in all matters requiring German language, including foreign pension taxation matters.

In her spare time, Samantha enjoys playing volleyball, hiking the Okanagan’s beautiful trails with her fiancé and their Mini Aussie "Milo", and travelling the world.
